"We are skilled at understanding and interpreting issues effecting safety in the workplace and so we can provide a range of services."

Safety, Mindfulness and the Brain

In all sectors requiring active decision making it is now accepted that people need to know how to be entirely in the moment. Mindfulness training teaches people how to be safer by being able to tune in via the use of techniques which focus their conscious attention.

CRM

Jo-Anne and Fiona have provided this training within the aviation sector and have the credentials and experience to provide this service.

Critical Incident & Response

Jo-Anne and Fiona have extensive experience at responding to incidents where people have been exposed to events which are traumatic.

Safety Training: Peer Support

Jo-Anne has been one of the persons involved with the development and training of the Peer Support Program for the Country Fire Service in South Australia for many years. It is a means of ensuring that those effected by trauma are supported in a multi-tiered way that is sensitive to the need for immediate and expert support for emergency workers in a range of situations.

Cross Cultural Issues

The aviation sector has had to pioneer sophisticated programs to ensure that all personnel can work in an effective manner together. The sector now employs people with different cultural heritages and so the workplace has become more complicated especially with respect to the key issue of communication across all the areas of cockpit management, cabin management and liaison between aircraft and the ramp.

Conflict Resolution

In any workplace there can be dispute within teams and across the organisation. Teams can benefit from conflict resolution training. Organisations sometimes require expert, independent assistance to resolve issues within the workplace to determine what is causing dispute and ways to intervene.

Selection

Jo-Anne and Fiona provide a quality selection process which reflects their experience of working in the areas of emergency services, safety and aviation. They use procedures which are transparent and tailored for your company working in partnership with you to ensure the most effective selection process.

Mediation

This is defined as “any process for resolving disputes in which another person helps the parties negotiate a settlement”. Jo-Anne and Fiona have conducted many mediations with people in the workplace. It is a highly skilled task and so requires experience and training to ensure both parties can accept the outcomes of the process.

For more information see Mediation Services.

Assessment

Both Jo-Anne and Fiona have worked with aviators and emergency workers who have been through events which have left the worker less able to manage their workplace than previously. Jo-Anne and Fiona are equipped to understand the organisational needs whilst providing clinical services.

Fear of Flying

This is a specialised treatment area which both Jo-Anne and Fiona have worked in and are able to assist those people who find they are afraid of flying. They are available to work with individuals or groups.
